New Moon Initiating Energy

For those who know me, you know that I often refer to astrological happenings and I look at patterns of energies affecting us. I was privileged to be introduced to astrology by Rick Tarnas who was one of my professors in my PhD program. Through the years of watching and learning, I have come to trust that as I understand the astrological patterns of energy, I can use those patterns to help my life be more successful. I do not believe that anything is predetermined, but I do see the power of the energetic patterns that can make our choices easier or more challenging. The whole world is in a challenging time and not surprising, the astrology of the past 2 years has been very challenging. And those major energies are still challenging, at least for another year. What can we do and how can we use these energies for our best outcome?

The New Moon is often a time of new beginnings. This new moon on Thursday 11/4/21 is ushering in the Eclipse season that begins in 2 weeks. Eclipse season happens around the Solstices and is seen as a time of more intense energies. Eclipse season coupled with the intense energies we are facing can be a rocky time. But intense energies are also powerful tools of transformation. The choice is up to each of us as to what these energies create in our lives.

The new moon will happen in Scorpio which is a powerful sign of transformation, especially from a spiritual or higher self perspective. Each sign has its positive and negative energies. Scorpio energies can be full of resentment, anger, hatred and desires for retribution from perceived wrongs. Or Scorpio can travel through the depths of darkness, emerging transformed into the light. We get to choose. So in this time of initiating energies of the new moon in Scorpio, what are we initiating? Are we initiating more resentment and anger? Or do we choose to initiate our own transformation through the depths of our human experience into more light?

Because of the T-Square with Saturn and Uranus, whatever choice we make will have challenges and unexpected interferences. But, the choices we make will also have lasting impact as we enter the eclipse season that also has astrological patterns that will carry through happenings over the next couple of years. In other words, this energy can be used, and choices can be made to either benefit your life, or create more suffering for the next couple of years.

The BIG question for each of us is who are we REALLY? Are we angry, resentful, full of fear, or are we Spirit in physical form seeking the transformation that removes what is not in our higher purpose so that we can live a more empowered life? We each have to decide what we stand for and who we choose to be in the face of so many challenges and so much fear. Can we rise above the darker aspects of Scorpio or will we be consumed by the fear, anger, and resentment?

Another way to think about this is our Integrity. To me, a person of integrity is a person who is integrated. Who they say they are is who they act like in the world. They make choices that reflect who they say they are. If we use these energies to clear what doesn't reflect who we are, and step more into our integration or integrity, then the challenging energies will not be as difficult. We will be clear with our intentions and through our integrity we will draw more positive energies. I am not saying things will necessarily be easy, but they will be easier if we are living with integrity.
